Treatment
My final piece of work is an indie/rock magazine that is aimed at mainstream audience. The house style of my magazine is pink, black and white. The genre of my magazine is indie/rock and would be aimed at mainly males and an audience of the age of 15-35. The target audience is average people with average lives and jobs who look up to big rock stars. The target audience would dress casually and where jeans or tracky bottoms and wear casual t-shirts.

My band will be in the lead singers garage. My band will be casual and average and will be wearing jeans and a casual t-shirt. The props they use are guitars and microphones. In my band there will be 3 members (Jonny Manning, Tom Mansell and Chris Allen)
My photo design will be of the lead vocalist (of the regulars Jonny Manning) and the background will be of the garage for the front cover. The artist form the band (the regulars) will be wearing bright coloured casual t-shirts, jeans and white trainers. The poses of the band will be wearing props such as sun glasses and be shots where they look cool because they are an indie/rock band. This image will be on my front cover.

The contents image will be a band shot of the band walking towards the camera and this will be on the top right side of the contents page. They will be wearing the same cloths as they where wearing for the front cover image but they will all be wear jackets as well. Also they will all still be wearing the sunglasses. The image will be taken out side the garage with the garage door open. The band will be walking down the drive. It will be a low angle shot so the band looks dominate and looks cool.

For the double page spread I will use another band shot, but this time the band shot will taken of the band sat against a wall with there arms crossed and with there sun glasses on. They will be wearing casual t-shirt, jeans and white trainers. The image will be of them all talking to each other. The article will consist of a band interview and a band profile. There will be 4 columns of text from the interview of the band on the left hand page. The title of for the article will correspond to the masthead on the front cover, the same style, font and colour will be used to continue the house style. The photo of the band will be on the left page.

For health and safety I will move all objects out of the way so there not going to cause any problems. Also when out side tidy the area up we are using. Also I will make sure the environment is safe and clear of any hazards for health and safety reasons.

5 rules of taking a good cover image.
1) No cluttered backgrounds
2) Make sure you focus on lead singer if it is a band shot so the audience know who they are. If a single audience make sure its a medium shot- close up
3) Leave room for a masthead and dont cut off heads
4) No high angle shots
5) Animate your band- make sure they look at the camera

Contents title relates to front cover title, bright, big and in capital letters.
Have a picture of a band and have in a gold star next to it interview with the band.
Have a bright coloured background
Also have specials for example top ten rated songs from a band (in gold text)e.g. oasis

a mainstrean magazine is aimed at a large auidence and a large circulation figure and very high readership figure for example Q magazine
A niche magazine is aimed at samll target audince specialising in one type of music for example heavy crash metal
