Music

We had to remove 'Just the two of us' song due to copyright issues but replaced it with two other songs from http://freeplaymusic.com/ called:
Shopping Spree (Middle montage of photos)
Walking (Walking up the stairs, end montage)

This is the final film poster. We decided to re create the film poster instead of just replacing the images.

Short FIlm Review

In their first short film together Thomas Ogilvie and Thomas Steadman are sure to score a massive hit with The Secret Companion. Staring Leonie Heavey as lonely girl whose friends (Amy Wright and Laura Lindley) don’t understand her friendship with her unknown companion. Her two friends desperately try to find out who this secret companion could be, will they find out? Or will it remain a secret?

The story begins with Leonie going into college for what seems like another normal day. She meets up with her friends who start interrogating her about her whereabouts over the previous weekend. This adds tension to the start of the film because the girls are not seeing eye to eye and are obviously jealous that their friend has not as much time for them has she previously had. The acting in this scene is excellent with a large build up of tension between the three friends

It then cuts to a flashback of Leonie walking in the park with her friend, but no friend can be seen which leaves many questions in the audience’s mind who is this friend? Is she real? This is a clever move from the directors as it leaves the audience hooked and keen to carry on watching to see if the enigma of who the mysterious friend could be. After this we cut back to the three friends were tempers fray as Leonie’s so called friends mock her new friendship when Leonie storms out Amy and Laura decide to follow her to try and find out who she has been seeing.

I will keep the ending to myself so I don’t spoil the surprise for you. All I can say is that you will be surprised by the ending because I certainly did not see it coming. I like how everything is put up together. This film caught my eye. I rarely find a short film with such a good idea. Secondly, actors are not so bad with Leonie Heavey stealing the show with good support from Amy Wright and Laura Lindley. I thoroughly enjoyed this short film and I recommend it as a must see.
