

Analysis of Double Page Spread
On this double page spread the headline “THE AMERICAN DREAM” is in a larger font, bold text and also every letter is in capitals, so it stands out from the rest of the double spread page so the reader knows what the article is about before they begin to read it. The word “DREAM” in the headline is in gold text because the gold connotes that when they first launched Motown music it was only a dream that it would be come as well known as it is today.
The article is about American singer Iggy Pop. He talks about how he grew up with Motown music and tells the audience how it makes him fells. There is a picture of Iggy Pop directly gazing out at the audience. This is to draw the attentions reader towards the audience.
Also at the top of the page there is a title saying “THE 100 GREATEST MOTOWN SONGS” in gold text. Gold text is used because the 100 songs on the next few pages are rated the best ever Motown songs of all time and also experts giving there opinion songs.
